Eagle Learning Centre received a National Lottery Community Award to offer positive activities to young people across Miles Platting Moston, Newton Heath, Collyhurst.

Many young people face unprecedent challenges due to due to aftermath of COVID19, cost of living crisis and the rise in poor mental health in the youth population and thanks to the grant young people were able to access activities and support they needed.

Director of Eagle Learning Victor nguem said” many of our young people tackle the consistent feeling of helplessness, and this funding has helped them adapt and become more resilient.”

Our programme of classroom style and activities enabled young people to build self confidence and self-esteem.  The sessions were delivered by expert  coaches and most of the young people said they have more ambition and self-worth.

Victor said” we saw in our own eyes that young people were demonstrating creative thinking I know these changes will be long lasting and I am grateful for the National Community fund support/
